Churchill to give customers up to £100 to cover immediate expenses when they need it most

  • The immediate expenses pay-out will be paid in advance of a claim being settled

Churchill insurance has today launched a new claims offering that will keep customers moving by paying out up to £100 cash in advance of their claim being sorted. The new benefit allows customers to cover the cost of urgent expenses, such as groceries in the event of an uninhabitable home, or travel costs to get customers where they need to be, if their car is undrivable after a collision.

The immediate expenses benefit is available from today (5th February) on all comprehensive motor, and all home, Churchill policies. The up to £100 pay-out will be available per car claim on motor policies and per insured family member on home policies. This allows a family of four to claim up to £400 to cover the cost of necessities.

Kirsty Hoad, Business Manager at Churchill Insurance said: “If you find your home uninhabitable, the last thing you want to be worrying about is feeding your family, or when your car is undriveable, how you’ll get home or back to work. Our Immediate Expenses Payment will help our customers continue moving with their everyday life including feeding or clothing their family, so they can get some peace of mind and focus on everything else, whilst we sort the rest of their claim.

“We understand that times are extremely tough for many, which is why when life does come to a stop, we want to be there to support our customers. We hope this immediate payment will go a little way to help support them, when they need us the most.”

The payment, which is on top of any future claim settlement, will be delivered to customers through a direct bank transfer allowing them to get access to cash.

The new service offering will be a great help to many families, many of whom may be experiencing financial hardship, allowing them to keep life going in the event of a major claim such as flooding or a car collision.

The benefit will be available as standard from February 5th for all new qualifying Home and Comprehensive Motor claims, for both new and existing customers. For more information and further terms and conditions please visit www.churchill.com.
