Direct Line Group Auto Services ("DLGAS") is part of the Direct Line Group and offers a multitude of opportunities for apprentices wanting to get into the motor industry. DLGAS has 23 sites nationwide including a state-of-the-art Technology Centre based in Birmingham. Recruitment this year has proved hugely successful with 77 new apprentices taking up posts in various roles including Vehicle Damage Assessors ("VDA"), Body Shop Technicians, Customer Advisor Assistants ("CSA") and Parts Assistants. 

Apprenticeships are a great way of getting on-the-job experience while gaining an industry recognised qualification. The apprenticeship scheme at DLGAS is a vital component in bringing on the next generation of new talent, helping to future proof the business and the collision repair industry. 

Apprentices joining the programme will be enrolled on specific apprenticeships with several training provider partners based throughout the UK. Depending on discipline, the duration of the learning programmes is between 2-4 years and will all lead to an industry recognised qualification.

This will allow us to keep staff updated and trained both virtually and physically on all aspects of vehicle repair, helping them to stay ahead of the field.”
