Direct Line Group is pleased to announce that Neil Manser will be moving into the role of Deputy Chief Financial Officer from 1 August.

In his new role Neil will be responsible for the Group's financial reporting, financial planning and business partnering, as well as financial control. He will also be driving finance's change agenda.

Over the last couple of years heading up the NIG business, Neil has been an integral member of the Commercial leadership team, developing and implementing the NIG strategy and improving both financial and operational performance. Neil previously led Investor Relations and Strategy, therefore he will bring to this role a strong understanding of the external perspective and commercial aspects of the business.

Neil Manser commented: “This will be my second stint in finance having spent five years (from 2011 to 2016) looking after a variety of areas including Investor Relations and Strategy. It’s particularly exciting to be joining at time when we are driving major change projects both within finance and across the business.

“The last two years in Commercial, as MD of NIG, has given me even more insight about how finance has a direct impact, through business partnering, cost control, managing the balance sheet, helping to reconcile and collect outstanding balances with brokers or a huge number of other activities.”
