Ho-Ho-Tow: Green Flag launches purpose-led roadside recovery service for toy cars this Christmas

Today, breakdown provider and roadside recovery expert, Green Flag launches ‘Little Green Flag’, a purpose-led recovery and reward service for children, in partnership with leading toy brand Little Tikes.

The heart-warming service sees Green Flag come to the rescue of families as it recovers iconic Little Tikes’ Cozy Coupes that children have loved but outgrown. Taking them to be recycled and gifting new toy wheels to children’s charity, The Toy Project, who then will gift back to disadvantaged schools, nurseries, and families just in time for Christmas.

On a first come, first served limited basis, Little Green Flag will collect, tow used red and yellow vehicles- across London using its iconic green recovery van as if they were real cars, and then take them to be recycled.

Noah Montenegro, aged eight, from South London was Little Green Flag’s first mini customer. Having enjoyed many miles in his Cozy Coupe growing up, the time had come for him to wave goodbye to his much loved first set of wheels.

Noah comments: “It was so fun seeing my tiny toy car loaded up onto the big green van and it’s cool I get to make another little girl or boy happy this Christmas”.

Mark Newberry, Commercial Director at Green Flag also commented: “Little Green Flag sees us doing what we do best – helping people and rescuing cars. Outgrown toy cars need recovering too and who better to do it than Green Flag. Together, with our partners, we hope to bring many smiles to those in need this Christmas.”

Michelle Lilley, Head of Marketing UK at Little Tikes, said: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Green Flag. Our Cozy Coupes have been part of playtime for decades and who better to work with than Green Flag to recover and recycle used cars from children who have outgrown them, while rewarding a new generation with brand new ones!”
